Several of the volunteers at Therapy Animal Coalition have been instrumental in starting many of the therapy animal programs here in Jacksonville and the surrounding area. We have a team of experienced volunteers who are willing to help you take the first steps in developing your own program. Please email us or give us a call to request assistance. As our funding increases, our plan is to develop online tools for facilities and organizations (of all sizes) to walk them through the process of developing a therapy animal program. Currently, there is no road map for a hospital, school, or nursing home and there definitely aren't tools for innovative programs like an airport or courthouse. We will work with successful programs all over the country to develop best practices and guidelines to start a responsible and healthy therapy animal program for any type of facility or organization.
